BEIJING — Automobile gross sales in China, the world’s largest car or truck current market, will most likely rise 5.4% to strike 27.5 million in 2022, the country’s prime auto field body said.
Of the total, gross sales of new electricity vehicles is expected to increase 47% to 5 million, the China Affiliation of Automobile Companies (CAAM) said in a statement released on its formal WeChat account.
For 2021, CAAM expects gross sales to rise three.one% calendar year-on-calendar year to 26.one million, with new electricity vehicles gross sales mounting one.5 periods to three.4 million.
Disrupted by a prolonged world shortage of semiconductors, China’s auto gross sales dropped nine.one% in November from a calendar year before, marking their seventh consecutive every month slide, CAAM data showed before this month.
