HYUNDAI Motor Business Australia (HMCA) not too long ago introduced the new i30 Sedan to the Australian current market as a substitute for its sluggish-promoting Elantra, a tiny sedan offered in the same phase as the at any time-common i30 hatch.

To try out and inject some more profits motion into the phase and assistance overhaul the Toyota Corolla as the king of the sub-$forty,000 tiny car or truck phase, HMCA made the decision to rebadge the new fourth-technology Elantra as the i30 Sedan and capitalise on the nameplate’s reputation.

The thing is though, the i30 Sedan is not an i30 – it rides on a fully diverse system for starters and shares none of the hatch’s panels on top of currently being a full 310mm for a longer time.

We were curious as to if this new even larger featuring was deserving of wearing the i30 badge or if it would be better off sticking with the Elantra nameplate right after all.
