Envisioned to get there for the 2021 design calendar year, the redesigned Sorento is section of a broader thrust by Kia and its South Korean sibling brand Hyundai to prioritize crossovers and SUVs. 

The Sorento slots underneath the top rated-shelf, a few-row Telluride crossover which was new for 2020 and is a linchpin of the carmaker’s five-nameplate crossover lineup. 

U.S. income of the outgoing Sorento fell eleven % to 95,951 models in 2019, but the U.S.-made crossover was however Kia’s No. 3 nameplate behind the Soul subcompact and Optima sedan. 

Kia states it hopes to enhance income with a more refined inside, replete with the massive electronic exhibit.
