
The retrenched employees of Hindustan Motors/Hindustan Motor Finance Corporation Ltd and their family users are waiting around for a choice on their future from the DMK government headed by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin.

On Oct one, the retrenched employees and their family users commenced their indefinite sit-in strike.
The protest was flagged off by CPI MP K. Subbarayan and was wound up late that evening.

The employees have been previously employed by Hindustan Motors Ltd/Hindustan Motor Finance Corporation at its Tiruvallur car plant rolling out Japanese Mitsubishi Motors Corporation’s designs like Lancer, Pajero and also under agreement producing deal for Isuzu Motors MU seven design.

“Our land is there. The previous operator — C.K. Birla team and new operator Stellantis Group — are also there. The car plant is also rolling out Citroen manufacturer vehicles. Only we are not there. This is not just,” Ismail and Srinivasan experienced explained.
